Is this what finally takes down KKKarl Rove? This might be a dupe, but I didn't have time to check. It is a post from The Locust Fork Journal......

CBS's Sixty Minutes Interviews Jill Simpson for Siegelman Exposé

Feds May Deny Access to Siegelman in Jail

North Alabama attorney and GOP Whistleblower Jill Simpson was interviewed by CBS's Sixty Minutes Sunday in preparation for an upcoming show on the political prosecution of former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman.

Sources close to Ms. Simpson and the Sixty Minutes show also say the federal prison system has refused to allow an on-camera interview with Mr. Siegelman in the Louisiana prison he is being held in without the benefit of an appeal bond, although indications are that may change.

"Jill did fabulously," Montgomery attorney Priscilla Duncan said. "She was clear and looked great."

The reporter and producers of the show were also pleased with the way the interview went.

"They were all very happy," she said.

Also, the House Judiciary Committee may release the transcript of Ms. Simpson's deposition before the committee staff and legal counsel from a couple of weeks ago on Tuesday.

I am getting very tired of "news" organizations gleefully covering stories like these and then AFTER the guy's reputation is ruined, and he's in JAIL, they suddenly get interested in doing some investigative reporting about the very things that COULD have prevented the whole witch-hunt.

They do this all the time.. They did it with the whole Clinton administration, they did it with the war, and many other issues too..

This way they get extra mileage out of these "stories".. they get the salacious, lip-smacking, drool-fest before and durings, and then they get the mea culpa, smack-your-forehead-and-say-"duh" story when the story has wound its way through the courts or is off the front page..

3. Thanks Elwood.....
Maybe now Keith O will have a segment on this case. I've been very disappointed with progressive media when it comes to this case. I've heard Thom Hartmann & Sam Seder mention it in passing, but noone else seemed to be talking about it.

Maybe now, Randi will give Larry Craig a break, and talk about this story which I believe may finally tell us what the US Attorneys who "weren't" fired were willing to do to keep their jobs. I understand Time will be running a similar story in its next edition? I could be wrong.

4. Well looks like we know the next swiftboating victim.
The right wing slime machine will be out in full force with this. AND they are vicious..especially when it comes to rove. Because I remember that after this woman came forward, and was telling her story, her house was burned completely to the ground. It was ruled arson, but they never found the culprit. Wonder why. When we realize who was involved. I also think that she was run off the road, but wasn't seriously hurt. Going to check that.
