1. Where will the ceremony be held?

2. Do all those nominated attend the ceremony - kind of like the Academy Awards, or is it just an announcement thing?

3. Do you know if the recipients have already been decided? Or is that learned first time at the ceremony?



Don't give up -- it just seems like he's SO deserving of this, I can't fathom his not getting it!

The award ceremony is held on Dec 10 in various locales. But the Banquet is always held in Stockholm at the City Hall.

Attendance is not required that I know of.

The announcements of the winners is made in October. So by the time the awards are given out everyone knows who has won.

2. The ceremony is at a later date. The winner is notified earlier.

I remember when Jody Williams of Putney, Vermont got the word she gave an interview on her porch barefoot and in jeans.
