Size Matters, Condom Experts Told
SEOGWIPO, South Korea (AP) - As the world's top condom experts convene this week to update international standards, one American entrepreneur has a simple message: Size matters.

It's shaking up an industry that has generally taken a one-size-fits-all approach.

Frank Sadlo, founder of TheyFit, which makes what he claims are the world's first custom-fit condoms, is pushing for updated standards to allow greater variation in condom size.

It's not just about well-endowed men in cramped prophylactic quarters, Sadlo told a meeting Thursday of delegates from 21 countries under the Geneva-based International Organization for Standardization.

When given a choice, he said many men prefer condoms smaller than the standard minimum 6.3 inches long, with more than half ordering those less than 5.12 inches.

At the session in Seogwipo on South Korea's Jeju Island, more than 100 representatives _ including leading manufacturers, government standards bodies and aid groups _ pored over 42 pages of specifications and testing requirements for condoms.

1. *cough* I had nothing to do with that article.
For one thing, there are better things to do than complain about condoms. Save for that complaint where's it's downright difficult to make those cute little balloon giraffes out of them...

3. Our job is to do away with inferior condoms," said Eng Long Ong,
I just love that name in this context.

But size does matter.

Without going into any salacious detail, Trojan Magnums and the like have greatly enhanced some men's sex lives.

Just try wearing socks that are too small for your feet. Sure, you can get them over your foot, but it just isn't as good as a sock that fits correctly. And with a too-small condom, disaster much more likely.

7. When I was a kid...
my Aunt and Uncle owned the Town's pharmacy. Soda stand and all, the classic deal.

Guys from out of town would come in to buy condoms (I always figured guys from our little Town were probably buying theirs wherever our condom customers were coming from). We would always ask, "What size?".

4. Size really does matter.............
I've only got three inches.....
but some girls like it that wide!
Sorry I couldn't help it.

or how about this one:
I was looking through the back of a porn mag the other day.
the section where they put all the ads.
One ad popped out at me that said "add two inches guaranteed."
I dropped everything and ran to the phone....
I was just about to dial the number when I thought.....
"what am I gonna do with three inches?

he,he,he

8. I've always been surprised they don't come in more sizes.
I mean, you're looking at what, six inches for average? With a standard deviation of three quarters of an inch or something? That would create a realistic range for like 99+% of people between four and eight; that's a rather huge range when something is supposed to fit snugly but not uncomfortably so.

I always assumed the reason they came only in "normal" and "large" was that nobody would order anything on the smaller end. But still, you'd think they could make the size on them small and unobtrusive-looking enough that it wouldn't scream "NEEDLEDICK." And besides, people apparently do buy the "Extended Pleasure" can't-hold-it-in versions. Come to think of it, I'd actually like to see the sales figures on their various specialty lines.
