...redeploy to Afghanistan. This will allow Army units now in Afghanistan to redeploy to Iraq. Gates is not hot on the idea, supposedly.

4. Five Battalions of Marines in Iraq.

Aprox. 800 personnel in a Battalion, so around 40K Marines. If they all pulled out would that
be the draw down that would effectively end the major US Occupation of Iraq?
