I've been hanging out here longer than I care to remember, but in spite of some of the polarizing comments and some general foolishness, this is still the best resource for important news and intelligent discussion. The biggest problem over the last year or so has been where do I put what little money I have to do some good. It's been almost a year since I contributed to DU, but my desk is covered with requests from food banks, political campaigns, and interest groups.

I thank the good people of DU for being there for those of us who haven't been staunch supporters.
