Blackwater etc. will come home at some point, so what do you think they are going to do?
I checked in 2 books recently (one about Katrina, and one about Blackwater) and neither mentioned Blackwater being at that disaster.

3. Drastically increase the unemployment rolls
People who are contracting out to Blackwater et. al are currently counting as employed. They make a lot of money, and aren't taxed on it. When they come home, the economic ripples could be devastating.

Worse, as I understand it, a fair number of them are Katrina survivors and need the jobs too badly to say no.

The whole situation is sickening.

5. Continue providing services to new clients.
Be they security, support, or reconstruction. Due to the lack of demand, some will probably do back to doing whatever they did before becoming contractors in Iraq.

Of course, back in the USA all of the security contractors are subject to the same laws that all other security guards are.

6. Chapter 18 of Scahill's book, Blackwater, covers their presence in New Orleans
It's the Chapter titled "Blackwater Down: Baghdad on the Bayou".

When they come home? God only knows what the heck they'd be prepared to do. But, according to Scahill's research, they have been seeking permission to work for foreign governments. As they've sought to hire foreign nationals to work for Blackwater, they seem to want to branch out and hire themselves out to other countries for mercenary work.

They're also wanting to build training camps in California and Michigan. :scared:

8. I'd Guess
They'd be coming home to murder Women and children here in the Homeland.

Or...

Become a gestapo-like political police force. Hollywood actor liberals watch out! The next time you jump through a plate glass window to avoid a bomb blast, it's not gonna be a movie stunt! It's gonna be a Blackwater activist round-up! Something straight out of Planet of The Apes.

SO yeah, One of those two things would be my guess.

9. But, there's so much money to be made in Iraq
I don't see them coming home, unless Kucinich, Richardson gets elected or Al Gore enters the race and ends this quagmire immediately or very soon. The Iraqi government has no say so in US interests matters in Iraq.
