I don't care if the kid was bullied. You don't stockpile weapons and shoot lots of people.

1. Exactly. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold of Columbine claimed they were bullied.

2. I care if the kid was bullied.
Because if the kid was bullied, then maybe it could have been prevented. And maybe we can figure out how to prevent such things in the future.

4. Agreed; school administrators and parents need to curtail bullies.
It's not the "boys will be boys" throwaway excuse.

But that doesn't give the victim of bullies the right to get some weapons and fire them on people.

Tragic, hell yeah.

And it's high time something is done about bullying. Europe doesn't have this sort of problem; certainly nowhere near the newsworthy point that plagues the US media every (how many months?).

Am I supposed to believe anybody was arguing that it does?

10. Please accept my apology.
I wasn't suggesting you were, and did not mean to give that impression.

9. Same.
Perhaps this should be a lesson in good citizenship. Don't let your friends or people who aren't your friends bully people.

5. Are we talking about the Cleveland kid? What was he suspended for anyway?
We need to start holding the parents of these young killers responsible too, with either lawsuits or possibly charges for parental negligence.

7. They should do what I did when I got bullied.
Identify the bully's car and then smear dog shit all over the windows during your study period.

8. You're not wrong. Bulllies have gotten away with their shit for years
because they're usually jocks or the 'cool kids' or what the fuck ever. School administrators and teachers look the other way, make excuses for them. So some of the bullied have bought into this shit that they are justified in taking a life (or many lives) because of their miserable treatment.

But I've always thought that the bullied should get together, plot their revenge. Not something with a gun. Something that will show them (the bullies) to be the sick and petty lowlifes that they are. But no one, no one, has the right to kill people for, of all reasons, being the target of a bully(ies). And I don't understand the mental state of anyone who would think that way.

13. Everybody gets bullied in school.
Then they wind up the big kids and they get to bully the little kids.

Then they wind up freshmen, and they are once more bullied.

Then they wind up sophomores, and can resume bullying the freshmen.

Then they go to college, and enjoy six years of drinking/fucking.

Then they go to grad school, get bullied by their advisors.

Then they get a job, have kids, and bully/get bullied by their own teenagers.

Then the kids get married, and they get to bully their son/daughter-in-law.

Then they wind up in a retirement home, where they get bullied by staff.

And thus, the arrow of life is complete.

14.  i was bullied , however
this was in the late 50's and early 60's . You could deal with it through the school if it happened there or your parents and the bullies parents . No one ever thought of gunning someone down to attempt to solve the problem . This country has gone completely nuts .

Parents do have a responsibility , now days with public schools is such sorry shape I can't say what goes on there . I don't have children .

These days I can't say if I were a parent if I would feel all that secure dealing with other parents who had a bully child either .

Hell I don't even know how to have fair gun control laws these days . Who can say just what will set people off even if they seem in control one day they may not be the next .

I do know I would be on edge if I was going to school these days with all the shootings , this was something I never had to deal with , perhaps being pushed around but never shot at .

I will say that if certain states find it justified to have laws allowing people to carry a concealed weapon then something is really wrong there . Society is going backward into the wild west .
