I read the post as if it was animals begging us to do something positive for them, which included electing Gore. Which struck me as not cute or great or anything wonderful, but a completely depressing message based on our performance in shepherding the planet that they live on.

Then I thought that the thread was one begging Gore to run. With lots of cute fuzzy animals. I suppose that is the way it is meant, but it wasn't my initial take at all.

In either case, K n R. A good message no matter how one perceives it.

begging us to do something wise for once such as listening to and taking action on Al Gore's message.

Hell, even Freepers love animals and nature. It's amazing how the polluters were able to turn "tree-hugger" into a slur. That's why I often say we should counter with the terms "air-breather" or "water drinker". It puts all creatures on equal footing with regards to preserving the environment (except for a few anaerobic bacteria maybe).
