Well, I'll tell you, I think he'll be an even better President now than he would've been in 2001. What he has gone on to do since that shameful SCOTUS vote, has been exceptional. He's really become more himself, more the man he was meant to be. He's been free from the political constraints of serving as President in the post-Monica, hate-Clinton D.C. atmosphere. He's grown into an internationally respected, highly regarded man with a message and a mission. He was able to pursue his passion. He's become so much more relaxed and confident just being who he is and doing what he loves, with the sure knowledge that he's on the right track.
In 2001, I think he would've been cautious and careful, concerned with polls and opinion (while being constantly attacked). Now, as President he will do what he knows is right, and what he needs to do. He'll still be criticized and attacked by the misguided mistaken minority, but it won't have the same effect. His internal compass will guide him and he will trust it, and the majority of us, and indeed the world will be grateful to him for it.
NOT TO SAY, I'm glad bush was selected in 2000. I'm NOT saying that at all! However, with all that has transpired since then, I think a Gore presidency now, will be very different and even better than it would've been then. He's a very changed man.
Congratulations to Al Gore on winning the Nobel Peace Prize and all his other accomplishments!
Now, please jump in the race! Run Al, RUN! :applause: :applause: :applause:
