DU this biased poll on police aggression against protesters
Edited on Fri Oct-12-07 11:28 AM by RagingInMiami
Some of you may remember how in 2003, Miami police went overboard in arresting people protesting against the Free Trade Area of the Americas summit. After a lawsuit, the courts ruled in favor of the protesters, so now various municipalities, including the City of Miami, must dish out money.

In today's poll which needs a serious DU input, The Miami Herald refers to the protesters as "scraggly looking demonstrators".

Should Miami have to compensate protesters busted at the FTAA summit?

Yes. Maybe it will teach cops not to overreact the next time. 45 37%

No, the scraggly looking demonstrators got what they deserved. 76 63%

Total Votes: 121

Anyone who picked 'scraggly looking demonstrators got what they deserved.' just answered "ME!" to the question, "Who's an ignorant moron?".

Unbelievable. I think the herald actually wanted to make those respondents look like idiots.
