If you voted for Gore in 2000... |
Why would you NOT vote for him in the 2008 primary were he to run?

1. Cause you choose from among different people in primaries than in elections. |

9. At least it usually is for me. |
I don't vote GOP, ever; but it's still generally different for me between primary and general election.

3. Do you mean in the general |
I gladly voted for him in the general that year, but was an active supporter of Bill Bradley in the primary.

5. I voted for Gore in 2000 because I HATED Shrub...even THEN! |
I didn't think he was a good candidate then, and I don't think he's improved much. I ALWAYS vote for the Dem candidate, but if we are talking about the primaries here, I would NOT vote for Gore if he were to run.

6. I voted for him because I was a Democrat and knew Chimpy was an assholey disaster |
from the git-go. I would not support Gore in the primary now, because I think Obama is a better candidate.

10. And what if Dukakis and Kerry ran and you also voted for them in 88 and 04 |
Are you saying those who voted for all three would have to find a way to commit voter fraud and vote for all three of them in the primary?

In fact, that was the last time I felt good about voting for someone.

14. I voted for him because he was our candidate |
I wasn't wild about him then and I'm not wild about him now. I'm voting for someone I expect to tear Rudy's head off and kick it down Pennsylvania Avenue.

15. He was the Democratic nominee and this is 2008 not 2000 |
if he decides to run (which he won't, I think) I would consider him, but just because I voted for him in 2000 doesn't mean he automatically gets my vote.

17. I'm concerned he will ruin his chances with another |
bad judgment call.
I'm referring to his decision to not campaign in his home state of TN. At the time the Governor, both Senators, and most of the House of Representatives were rethuglicans. That should've immediately sent the message to Gore that winning his home state is not automatic.
Apparently he was so confident about winning TN (despite the warning signs) that he decided to skip campaigning there.
Winning Tennessee would make the Florida electoral votes worthless.
