For my 1,000th post, I wonder if I should wander around with my Guy Fawkes mask

I never understood John Lennon's line, "remember, remember, the 5th of November until "V for Vendetta" came out in 2005. I was always spooked because that line in the song recalled the date of my father's death. I'm older now, and I'm wondering if I should get the value out of that mask I bought a year ago. I wore it on Halloween when I worked for a successful but oppressive corporation that was eating my brain, I was able to move on with my life after that day!

Though I don't imagine there is enough collective consciousness to find that droves of people will show up with their masks in front of the WH setting off fireworks, I'm not afraid of a little personal display, you know, from the comfort of my car or while standing in front of my House of Rep's office? Hmmm...

It challenges conventional wisdom, but I realize challenging conventional wisdom won't even go down well on DU (just read the 911 discussion thread, and the occasional clucking tongues talking about it in general discussion- we must be insane thinking the Bush administration allowed that to happen).

But I digress- could I start a local trend? Only one way to find out. And it's as easy as rolling out of bed each consecutive morning to count the growing morphing numbers of the middle class to what I used to call, "the lower middle/ or upper lower class". This is official, because the IRS said so this week. They're going to celebrate the bottom 50% of us earning 12.8% of all income by auditing the growing numbers of working poor with greater frequency.

Here's to 1,000 more posts and describing a reversal of this trend, my friends! :toast:
