I wanted Gore at the top of the ticket in 1992
but my timing has always been a little off.

1. His timing's been off, too.
Only in recent years has he found his way to the heart of what's wrong in the world. And in '92, he could never have mustered the passion to outshine the Big Dawg.

2. He's smarter in a lot of ways
but he is also humbler, and less agressive. Those things are both good and bad in a politician.
I think he will be remembered as a great man, a visionary, whether he runs for office again or not.
