6. I've read both Pattie Boyd's book and am reading EC's now. |

Pattie is much kinder to EC in her book than EC is to himself in his own. It's warts and all and it's very well-written. Pattie's used a ghostwriter and the editing was choppy and I don't think that particular ghostwriter served her very well, although it's still an interesting story given that she married both George Harrison & Eric Clapton and has led her own fascinating life on her own. But EC's is far better written and far more detailed. Highly recommend.
And yes, there's an accompanying CD set along with EC's autobiography out.
And in other "classic rock" related news: Tom Petty also has an autobiography "Runnin' Down a Dream" out later this month as well (the book is available at Amazon) along with a DVD done by Peter Bogdonovich and a special CD set (that's only available at Best Buy though).

7. Saw the Clapton interview--I was surprised at how intelligent and articulate he is. |
|
I hadn't heard him speak at length before. Good to hear Tom Petty has a story to tell--should be interesting. He's all over my Ipod--still one of my favorites.
