6. I didn't realize before today that the full episodes are free for download on iTunes...

I gave up cable TV when I moved in August...I'm usually too busy to watch it anyway and figured I could do without the expense. But I missed "real Time" and stumbled across it on iTunes earlier today.

I'm going to have to download tonight's episode...I imagine the exchange will go something like this:

FOX: "Yes, it's true, President Bush is a "Windshield Cowboy" and is afraid of horses."

CARLSON: "That's not true! I have seen archive footage of President Bush riding wild mustangs across the Yucatan!"

Had the potential to be one of the best in awhile, but Joy was silent through most of it, and Maher never went after Tucker, so it was basically 40 minutes of Tucker yelling at Krugman, when Krugman isn't exactly the "fighter" type.

Nothing against doobies but Maher is useless when Tucker is
on he allowed him to run rough shod over Krugman who was
making legitimate points. I hope Krugman never goes on
a show like this again, he is an honorable smart man who
is ill suited for these cesspool environments.

44. Just skimmed through this thread and I must agree

the show was pretty shitty at least the panel part. Krugman was great but he never got a chance to finish a sentence before *ucker interrupted him and maher just sat there and let it happen. Joy Behar was great at hurling one liners into the mix but could not carry on a prolonged discussion so what we mostly heard was carlson's verbal flatulence.

I agree with the poster who said Paul Krugman has too much class for this type of forum. And why is Bill maher scared of a pussy like carlson?

That was during the discussion on health care. When, in his entire life, has Tucker Carlson ever had to be financially responsible for himself? It is extraordinarily annoying for someone who is an heir to the Swanson family fortune and who went to expensive boarding prep schools and whose father owns a million dollars worth of CANES to chide people about their personal financial responsibility. This kind of behavior makes me want to take a baseball bat and beat him unconcious with it.

Another thing that REALLY pissed me off was the idiotic verbal dance he engaged in on Iran. He actually said that the left was making it up when they said that there was a drumbeat to war in Iran. He also said that putting a long range missile defense facility in Poland was similar to keeping a shotgun under your bed for defense. No, it is more like putting a shotgun under your NEIGHBOR'S bed and expecting him not to mind.

And Maher just sat there and smirked while Carlson talked all over Paul Krugman, who was not nearly confrontational enough to shout down Carlson. I was disappointed by the whole show.
