Is the M$M using photoshopped pictures of Bush in their reports?
I save some pictures I find sometimes because I use them to play around with in my paintshop pro program. I'm still teaching myself how to use it through trial & error.

Anyways, I was just looking through some pictures when I noticed something odd about this one:

Notice anything funny about it??

Look under his left arm at the microphone and red stripe on the flag.

Is it just me, or does something not look right there?

I don't remember where I saved it from, but I don't go to very many other sites besides here & my own sites. Anyone have any thoughts or insight on this?

2. In the original picture, Bush was picking his nose.
But in all seriousness, what they DO do is take his speeches and clean up his "um, er, y-y-y-ya see" stuff for the radio. NPR admitted to doing so about a year ago, just so people could actually hear what he had to say through all the stamering.

5. I think it's just the lighting and the artifacts
in the digital picture.

8. I didn't know what it was. All I know is how to point my digital camera,
take the picture and upload it to my computer.

15. Glad I could make you laugh, my friend
Everyone needs to smile at least once a day.

Whenever I find myself in need of a smile I just pull this picture up. It actually makes me laugh til my face hurts. Try it out:

:hi:

Peace!

20. You know, I envisioned it actually ending up looking a little more obscene
but it's probably for the best, this way.

In serious reference to your OP, my hunch is that what you're seeing has to do with high compression on the image, artifacts and the like. Although with the way the media is now, who knows? Honestly, though, if they were going to spend a bunch of time photoshopping his pictures, you'd think they would make him look like less of a doofus. That's certainly not the case in that picture.

Of course, the funniest Bush photos are all real--- you couldn't make 'em up in a million years.

13. Not just that...
The part of the mic that crosses the white stripe is a different color too.

17. Color fringing
If the sensor of a digital camera isn't real accurate, you can get some bleeding in areas with fine lines and high contrast.

19. That sounds reasonable....
in a 'ok, I don't really know what you just said, but it sounds like you know what you're talking about' kind of way.

:hi:

It just didn't look right to me, but I don't know if they were chrome or stainless mic stems and maybe reflecting colors, but I couldn't wrap my mind around how the red reflected in FRONT of the mic...
