Blackwater Lodge - Showcase of Guns Used to Assassinate Presidents
Edited on Fri Oct-12-07 11:10 PM by RamboLiberal
(Prince) At the center's original lodge, he proudly pointed out a stuffed bobcat, a wild turkey and a beaver that he recalled killing. The lobby of the Blackwater headquarters resembles a ski lodge with a twist: The front doors feature barrels from .50-caliber machine guns. Inside, a glass showcase displays replicas of guns used to assassinate presidents.

That strikes me as sick. And is it a warning?

3. Indulgence of a sick fantasy
Prince probably never considered that the bright light of public scrutiny would be shined in the direction of his mercenary operation, assuming that only sick fucks of a similar mind would see and admire his homage to political assassination.

I highly recommend this lengthy article - spread over five webpages - and featured on page A1 of the Washington Post. There's a lot of information of which the general public is unaware, and I hope it opens some eyes - both inside and outside the Beltway.

7. I was at the lodge earlier this year.
It's basically a hunting lodge with some minor exceptions. It has a fully staffed galley, and a proshop.

The proshop sells various items, articles of clothing, weapon holsters and other assorted firearms add ons in addition to having several firearms for sale. Most notably a M4 Carbine, in addition to the array of shotguns and pistols. The lodge still displays various animal heads, and has a wall dedicated to positive newspaper article clippings, most are from local papers talking about the new 'school shoot house' training facility used by police forces to train for a future Columbine situation. There are also various letters of thanks from various military units, both from the US and foreign (I distinctly remember one from Columbia).

I was there as part of a Navy Force protection program, where they basically taught random sailors how to clear mock naval vessels during hostile boarding actions. I'm not sure quite how relevant that training would be to me, seeing as how I am based on a nuclear powered submarine, and thus have a much tighter layout on the boat internals than a traditional surface ship. I am personally not worried about being sent to Iraq due to my status as a nuke (I would have to volunteer and likely be told no by the nuclear naval personel CNO).
