Dream Cabinet
This is just a theoretical excercise but if you were building a Cabinet for the country as a whole, who would you place in which position?

Picks can be from either party but anyone picked must be an actual US politician (and yes, for these purposes, Gore counts), still living and not currently facing charges. We're assuming that the Senate would confirm your picks, regardless of who they might be. A list of Cabinet posts can be found on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Cabinet">Wiki but you don't have to fill every post.

2. LOVE that last one
What IS the difference between Defence and Homeland Security anyway?

(rhetorical question)

3. There are differences...
I think, but I think that the Department of Homeland Security is itself redundant, we have the FBI, DOD, NSA, CIA, a LOT of letters, that do basically the same damned jobs.

4. I got a start on this earlier today!
A letter from me to the Honorable Al Gore & The Dream Team (Barack, John, Joe Biden, Dennis & Bill Richardson)

Here is the whole dream team:

Al Gore - President ... because he is the right person for the job
Barack Obama - VP ... 8 years as VP and then -> :)

Secretary of State - Joe Biden... he just needs to be convinced we want the US empire to be o-v-e-r
Secretary of the Interior - Bill Richardson... in recognition of his success at getting New Mexico to meet Kyoto goals
Secretary of Homeland Security - Post gets abolished
Secretary of War - Wesley Clark (I am returning the post to its original name)
Secretary of Veterans Affairs - Anyone currently working for VoteVets - John Bruhns, Jon Soltz...
Secretary of Health and Human Services - Jocelyn Elders

Adding a few more secretary positions:
Secretary of Labor - John Edwards
Secretary of Peace - Dennis Kucinich
Secretary of Civil Rights & Human Rights - Chris Dodd

5. Nice choices
Personally, I'd switch Edwards and Kucinich around but they're both as good as each other.

I REALLY like the idea of a Department Of Peace too.
