despite the utter implausibility of the enlightenment of * (re: the Dalai Lama)
Edited on Tue Oct-16-07 09:28 AM by stellanoir
Today, his Holiness the Dalai Lama will have a private meeting with *. I thought this was unprecedented but kineta kindly corrected me with this. . .

I have an old friend who used to joke dismissively by saying "Ackht. . .you've seen one Dalai Lama then you've seen them all." (since he is the same spirit and soul reincarnating)

Still, it's ironic to me in a way. Over 6 years ago shortly after 9/11 I sent out a massive e-mail suggesting that folks pray for *'s enlightenment so he wouldn't over react inappropriately, and that he recognize mutually shared culpability without which, conflict cannot possibly energetically ever occur. I naively prayed that he wouldn't concoct some "prep school punk's plan on perpetuating retribution" (Ani DiFranco quotation) with big stick diplomacy that would end up whipping us in the butt over time.

Silly me and oh well.

Then within weeks * started up with his heinously unenlightened "evil doers" shadow projection routine and I figured he was hopeless.

In the years that followed, I like many, became more politically informed and increasingly frustrated, bereft of anything remotely resembling representative leadership, I foolishly got obsessed with those nefarious electronic voting machines (an exercise in somewhat absolute futility) and argued long and hard on more than one occasion that all the vitriolic hatred of him would only keep him in power longer.

Slightly more than 6 months after writing that. during the Global Peace Meditation on October 29th, '05, I was blessed with an experience of viscerally experiencing a blissfully better world to come, thanks largely due to all the true souls kindly meditating on that concept at that particular time. I became immersed in the seemingly preordained promise of a future wherein no souls were suffering any longer globally.

I was so inspired by that transcendent sense that I spent 5 months writing obsessively about it. That writing was called "19 tricks or Weapons of Massive Creation for Global Amelioration" and sent it and posted it widely in many different forms.

In one of those forms, I was contemplating * and all the negativity on which he seemed to thrive and whether you believe it or not, I was shown a vision of * in a prior life. Whether a myth or a legend, it was very well shown.

I saw a man who was in the Midwest during the late pioneering days. He was quite insecure and going to enormous lengths to impress others by telling really enormously tall tales. No on believed him but sans TV or the internet, he was mildly amusing and his humor was no where near as mean spirited as it is now. He appeared to be a really ridiculous person and a bit of a laughing stock. Gee. . .do ya think he might be overcompasating for that. . .much. . .?

Well all of that aside, in crafting my "19 tricks or Weapons of Massive Creation for Global Amelioration" which was far too long for most people's e-mail pallets (far more than four paragraphs,) I was thinking of * and how so many wanted to see him tried and the Hague. I flashed on something else. That really the only antidote for his unenlightened ways would be for him to go hang out with a bunch of Buddhists monks so he could remember all that he's forgotten. I could just imagine the Buddhist monks rolling their eyes over that most unlikely prospect.

Since then we've had incremental progress.

Cosmic Trigger thread. . .

Hope for all of us. . .

Then yesterday, out of the blue, I saw that his Holiness will meet with *.

Hmmmmmmmmm. . .another myth or legend I once was shown was the Dalai Lama, long before he became the Dalai Lama, was once a Inuit Native American. With others, we sat around a fire eons ago, looking into the future, and saw how long it would take humanity to get finally get out of the sandbox and stop playing the "blame game" over stupid fates and live in compassion and kindness and great humor and finally learn to share, instead of this seemingly unending cycles of short sighted selfishness possessiveness, and inevitable retributions.

At that time we both shook our heads in abject disbelief.

With the only street creds of having possibly hung out with his Holiness fleetingly in another ancient and distant time, I humbly request that if you are so inclined, consider taking a moment to send some energy to the White House today.

Ahhhhhhh. . .to be a fly on the wall.

May we all be as such.

Buzz, buzz, buzz. . .

A simple suggestion:

We are creating with spirit that. . .

Truth eclipse falsehood in these times. That generosity eclipse greed. That clarity eclipse deceit. That transparency eclipse obfuscation. That corruption be eclipsed by both accountability and true justice. That the ruse that violence solves anything over the grander scheme of time be completely dispelled. That diplomacy eclipse bellicosity. That those abusing power become enlightened to the folly of their ways.

That peace eclipse war. That love and basic human kindness eclipse fear.

That we neutralize our dynamic with Iran. That peace envelope Burma and Darfur and Iraq.

That the Dalai Lama's devout pacifism and great humor be especially and even more effusively contagious today and every day to come.

That great healings arrive upon our beloved planet

3. The Tibetans say that the Dalai Lama is an incarnation of the Buddha of Compassion
perhaps he can infuse compassion in George Bush who seems to be wholly lacking.

6. That picture sends chills up and down my spine.
There is a living saint in the presence of a living devil. Let the saint beam the light of compassion all over the devil.

to find peace, one must first cultivate it in his own heart. Not as easy as it sounds, but it can be done.

12. What would a spiritually oriented thread be without it's token ghoulish image. . .?
But being ever a man of blissful compassion, I think he might see him more like this. . .
