e-mail to Verizon - Cannot wait for a reply.
I have learned that Verizon has been volutarily cooperating in the illegal wiretapping and information sharing programs conducted by the Department of Defense and possibly other Federal agencies.

Please share with me the following:
1. your justification for breaking the law
2. whether my personal civil liberties have been violated
3. whether you would assess any cancellation fee for my terminating my Verizon family plan based upon your breach of trust and your wilfull disregard for civil liberties.

Thank you.

3. I actually read their subscriber agreement and it is ridiculous.
All the risk goes on the head of the customer.

2. keep us posted. i had the same when att bought southwestbell.
two months after buy it i switched to sudden link and they assured me they were not giving my info to nsa. recently our cingular cell was bought by att. and now i have to switch our cell carrier. my husband is resisting this change because it has the best coverage and he needs it for work. it is pissing me off. but i am curious what happens to our contract if we chose to leave because company is now owned by another company, a different company from when we signed the contract

4. Check your subscriber agreement. It may be silent on the matter
and if that is the case you probably have a good argument.
