Randi May Not Have Been
Attacked.

I have heard that she may have just tripped and fell walking her dog resulting in more dental work.

Stay tuned...................................

15. Oh twottle!! The NY Daily News?
Just another prawn of the all powerful KKKarl and his evil plot.

Randi was probably injected with some drug that made her forget everything. One of those "fergit about it" drugs.

22. Interesting ....
I bet there was a little chip in it and she tripped.

Probably also faulty shoes. A freeper saleswoman probably set one of those little timer thingies that made her shoes slip on the sidewalk. You know the 'auto shoe slip timers'? They were tested on President Ford in the 1970's.

33. Sorry you feel singled out. I happen to agree with your comment that you are far from
the only one on either side of any given debate.

I saw your comment and I posted, as I sometimes do.

Hell, I imagine that, as a human being, I have made my share of unproductive comments on DU. However, I try hard to limit them to those who have struck at me first, as it were, with an "unproductive comment".

If someone speaks civilly to me, I try to return it in kind.

But I can't argue with your post, really. I don't know if I would call it ironic, but touche nonetheless.

34. No hard feelings, believe me.
You call 'em as you see 'em, and I can respect that. I know it wasn't a productive comment, but I amused myself with it so I posted it. To be honest, there's been a boatload of times I've deleted a post halfway through through typing it because it would add nothing to the conversation.

And you're right, it would have been ironic if you were one of the posters making the silly comments on the other side of the discussion. Touche indeed.

36. Cool. Peace. And in the interest of full disclosure, in between my calls to wait for more info
I WAS one of the ones who allowed Elliot's and my own speculation to carry me away and I probably did make some "silly comments" while my anger had the best of me.

So maybe it was ironic, after all.

No hard feelings here, either. I enjoyed our discussion and I look forward to seeing your around to boards.

19. Try the Miami Herald, Murdoch doesn't own it.

http://www.miamiherald.com/news/breaking_dade/story/273295.html

Randi Rhodes, the Air America radio host who began her talk-show career on South Florida's WIOD 610-AM, was injured Sunday night when she was assaulted near her apartment on Manhattan's East Side, according to other hosts, who discussed the incident Tuesday on their shows.

Rhodes, 48, was walking Simon, her Yorkshire terrier, when someone attacked her. She reportedly lost at least two teeth. It was unclear if Simon was injured.

Nicole Sandler of Miami's WINZ 940-AM and Stephanie Miller, whose Jones Radio Network show is carried by WINZ, reported that Rhodes was wearing sweats and wasn't wearing jewelry or carrying a purse.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=2059619&mesg_id=2059619

We were discussing the difference between the NEW YORK Post (owned by Murdoch) and the NEW YORK Daily News (not owned by Murdoch), so I was confused by "The Herald". OK?

October 16-NEW YORK-On Sunday evening, October 14, Air America host Randi Rhodes experienced an unfortunate incident hindering her from hosting her show. The reports of a presumed hate crime are unfounded. Ms. Rhodes looks forward to being back on the air on Thursday.

9. "BBBBUTTTTT IT'S A ROVIAN ATTACK!"
Now we get to hear this thrown back at us for accusing the "poor little right-wingers" (who definitely are capable of pulling off something like this notwithstanding) that they were out to silence Randi. But instead of waiting for a definitive word, everyone was out spouting conspiracy theories and rattling about an "attack" that no one could confirm.

Best wishes, Ms. Rhodes, to a speedy recovery.

http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wire/newyork/ny-bc-ny--people-randirhode1016oct16,0,7372381.story

Gaulin confirmed that Rhodes was injured after she was floored by someone _ or something _ as she strolled the streets of Manhattan's Murray Hill district around 8 p.m., but wasn't sure herself what sent her tumbling to the pavement.

"She hit her head on the street and was disoriented," Gaulin said. "She's not sure what happened. She didn't see anything." He added that she never reported the incident to police.
