Won't The 2007 Campaign Be A Nice Memory? |
|
Filled with some hope with the optimism following Mr. Gore's award last week, and the new online videos.
So, years and years into the future, will we look back fondly as we wonder how we could have doubted Al's intentions all along. How we could have worried that he would not run, and that another Clinton would be leading us. Or worse than that, the repubs somehow upset her in a race divided because of the anger she forments from the right.
Instead we'll be commenting on how ridiculous these candidates looked campaigning 2 years in advance. How they were going around the country, when they should have been DOING THEIR JOBS in congress.
How in the meantime, Al Gore was winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Helping with an Oscar victory. And raising money and awareness with a 25 Hour Worldwide Concert Event.
We'll remember those things, and feel as if we played some part in Mr. Gore's decision to run, and accept the challenge of fixing the wrongs which have been committed these past 7 years, when he could have taken the easier route and stayed away from the immense responsibility he'll become burdened with.

1. I think I'll choose to remember it that way no matter what Gore decides. |
