4. Now that might be a message
Bush** would understand. He would really be confused though when he thinks he is hearing God and it turns out to be a Democrat :).

5. Thanks for the heads up
Paul Simon is a good man. He has a generous heart and is a caring person. I grew up listening to his music and he has always been someone I've admired.

I'm so glad he is making an effort to help these poor children. When our government thinks that helping the less fortunate (especially when they themselves have the BEST health care people can buy) just makes you realize they are in a very good club and they don't want to invite anyone else in it.

So, wouldn't you say the government has federalized health care for its members???

I know I've heard members talking about their great coverage. Shame on them for their selfishness. My Rep. is one who voted no. I guess she thinks she is better than the working class. I think I'll call her office and see how many times she gets to see a doctor, or if she thinks its criminal when she needs to have surgery, or if she pays her own medical bills without the special coverage she gets provided for by We The People.

And while I'm on the subject shame on the RW who attack a kid for expressing his rights to speak his mind. The only reason they do this is because they can't argue the case in and of itself. So, they have to attack the messenger. They are genuinely the lowest class of people for attacking people who need help. It probably isn't easy asking for a handout. But sometimes it is better to ask for a hand then be forced out of your home because you can't pay your medical bills.

We live in a Sick, Sad World.....

6. My friend lost his house in July because he could not afford his house and medical bills.

The Republicans sing "We need a man like Herbert Hoover again"

and they have him right at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue again.

When George W Bush talks to God, he actually talks to the dead rotted spirit or Ayn Rand.

8. Sorry to hear about your friend
It's amazing to me that these multi-millionaires (like Blitzer) doesn't understand that $83,000 a year job will not pay the medical bills if one is hospitalized for over a weeks stay.

My SIL had to go to the hospital for gastro problems. She was in for a week. Her hospital bill came in at over $80,000. She had no insurance at the time. She works a full time job, that doesn't offer health insurance. Luckily for her she was able to get assistance. Otherwise she would have been on the streets as well. She now has bought insurance that comes directly out of her hard earned salary. I think she said she spends about $700 a month for her coverage.

So, even if someone earns $80,000 and they have to spend any amount of time in the hospital, it could very well end up gobbling up their entire years salary.

It sucks not being these well off assholes, who don't realize not everybody can just go to the hospital for medical care. You can count me in the group who doesn't have medical insurance. I just don't go to the doctor if anything happens to me, then I don't know what I'll do. Fortunately I have been in pretty good health.

7. American Tune...
I don't know a soul who's not been battered, I don't have a friend who feels at ease.
I don't know a dream that's not been shattered or driven to its knees.

Oh, but It's alright, it's alright, for we've lived so well so long
Still, when I think of the road we're travling on, I wonder what gone wrong, I can't help it, I wonder what's gone wrong.
