The story should have included her saying that she would probably resign early and that would give Gov 'Goodhair' the opportunity to pick a replacement. As she said so the person coul 'break in' and the public get to know them.
Pretty much a wash in either case though, as the Democratic Party of Texas has about as much political talent in its midst right now as a West Texas rancher has water.
