Does anyone else find this extremely ironic? |
It's now known that Valerie Plame was working on a CIA operation was which tracked distribution and acquisition of weapons of mass destruction technology to and from Iran, at the time her name was leaked by the Bush administration. Now, that same administration is beating the war drum over Iran. Did it occur to them that if they had let Valerie DO HER JOB instead of RUINING HER CAREER that Iran today might not be as much of a threat to the U.S. that they now claim it is?

3. the fact that she was doing her job.......... |
And found no imminent threat is likely what got her name leaked to the press. It's not ironic, it's pathetic.

6. You don't get it. They don't care about threats to the U.S. |
Just threats to their bank accounts and their personal power.

8. What your really missing though is that this Administration doesn't care... |
about all of that, cause they want war with anyone and Iran was first on their list. It's not about Iran having or not having, getting or not getting WMD... They could give a shit about that, just like they could care less if Iraq had weapons or not. Iraq was on the radar screen far before 911 or weapons of mass destruction ever was mentioned.

10. My contention that outing Plame was not to get at Joe Wilson |
but to set the stage for an invasion of Iran. Valerie Plame could have been a real obstacle in that quest. Joe Wilson's article just gave them the perfect opportunity.

11. It likely led to more people other than Valerie Wilson |
having to drop from the project. Anyone known to have associated with her would have had their cover blown.

12. how many peoples lives were placed in jeopardy by the outing of Valerie Plame? |
It is criminal to out a covert agent, yet no one has been charged. How many people died when she was outed? Do we know?

14. Joe Wilson told the truth about their lies about Iraq |
so they had to get rid of his wife, or she might wind up being able to tell the truth about their Iran lies.
I think they've wanted to attack Iran for longer than we know. I mean, both the countries we've already invaded are bordering Iran.

16. I don't think they had any intention of listening to American Intelligence Sources |
on Iran. If Iran fit into their plans re: bombing, they would just go ahead anyways. They didn't listen to the intel on Iraq. Intel doesn't fit in with their Utopian Vision. "Proactive" people don't care about the reality on the ground at a certain time.
