If you agree with Pete Stark's comments . . .
you should let him know.
I have emailed him to express my support of his recent Bush comments, and to ask him not to back away from them under pressure from the Democratic Powers-That-Be.
I know my email will amount to very little alone, so if you have not done so already, please join me.
I have also emailed Nancy Pelosi and my Congressman, Steny Hoyer, and told them that I hope they will find the courage to support Rep. Stark.
BTW -- Ms. Pelosi cannot be reached directly through her website unless you are a constituent.
Reach her at:

http://www.speaker.gov/contact/

thank you.

3. Thanks for the email address. I sent a message asking her to
start getting to the people's business and stop being all nicey-nicey with these crook Repukes (not in those words). Reminded her that this pResident is an unpopular, lame duck and it is not necessary to lick his boots.

Leave Pete Stark alone or just give him a medal for being courageous.

12. It does matter ...
If everyone who disagreed with Ms. Pelosi on this would tell her so,
she would be so deluged with email that she would have to take notice.
Of course, they won't, because they think it doesn't matter.
But you did, and I did. And it does matter.

Mz. Speaker,
I just want to express my disgust in the fact that you so brutally attacked Mr. Stark for his bold and brave comments. I know not why you are unable to move forward with the desires of the American people, and cut off all funding for the Iraq War. Truly, your cowardice is insulting to the name of the democratic party, the party of progressives and liberals. Please reconsider your actions and your callous censure of Representative Stark. Stop the war, Stop the lies, Stop the hypocrisy.
Sincerely,
A True Progressive

9. I have said this previously but will again------His last four words were below the belt and
only serve to inflame the situation.

11. The surest way to lose support,
even from those that agree with you, is to be rude/nasty. The whole idea is to win the debate, not to see who can be the most loathsome.

Being nasty only serves to change the debate from the topic at hand to who is the most hateful.

Regards, Mugu

14. I see your point ...
I would not want to see the Dems rival the Republicans in being rude and nasty...
On the other hand, I'm so tired of seeing the Dems pussyfooting around George Bush and being so careful to try not to offend him, that I find Stark's candor refreshing.

13. Call Hoyer, Pelosi & Emmanuel along with Stark . . . . .
I called Pete's CA office yesterday to express my thanks, and they said that calls to Pelosi, Hoyer & Emmanuel voicing the same opinion would also be much appreciated.

Keep dialing those phones!!
