8. I'll play along just for fun. |
|
Al Gore's running mate should be John Edwards. He can then correct the mistake that I believe caused the 2000 election to be decided in Bush's favor.
Edwards was one of his top choices then but he chose Lieberman to counteract the Clinton scandals. If he would have gone with his instincts...and chosen Edwards...our country would be on a much different path right now.
This is what happens when you let too much political calculation play into what you know in your heart is right.

In that order...
Of course, I've let go of my Gore for Pres in 08 dream - but just in case :)
* Kucinich would be number 1 - but if I'm to play it for real, DK does not have the name recognition to be picked for a national ticket, which is sad for the country.

Senator Hillary Clinton is going to be either John Edwards or Governor Bill Richardson....Edwards or Richardson will be her Veep.
The ticket will be either:
Clinton/Edwards or Clinton/Richardson.
If it's Veep Edwards, then Bill Richardson will be Hillary's Secretary of State.
Remember, you heard it here first! :)

18. Now that would ROCK! I love Senator Evan Bayh |
|
I wish Senator Bayh would have ran for President himself, he's just amazing, I think he has all-round appeal, and crucially he's got both Executive experience, having been a long-term Governor, and he's got Legislative experience, having been a long-term Senator....I think Senator Bayh would be very effective as well in winning the votes of disaffected Republicans and Independents.
Right now I'm predicting Clinton/Edwards or Clinton/Richardson.
BUT I'd be MASSIVELY excited and MASSIVELY pleased if Senator Clinton chose Senator Bayh as her Veep, Evan Bayh is probably my favorite Democrat, aside from Senator Mary Landrieu of course.

27. What's he running for? It's not President...he has told the world that. |
|
He's not going to run against people that he was on the ticket with a few years ago, for one thing.
He has said repeatedly and definitively that he has no intention of running. That's about as definitive as any politician gets about future events.
He has not said he has no intention of running for Senator or something, though. He won't need a running mate, in that event.

He has said he has no intention of running for political office. Ever.
Can't get any plainer than that. Maybe those aren't the magic words you want, but those are the words he's chosen, and he has been consistent for a year or so now in saying it.
He's not running. He's on top of the world, after making a huge comeback in stature after getting beaten badly. He's not going to risk disrupting his stature or becoming a big loser, when he's sitting on top of the world. Not just because of ego and the stature in and of itself, which of course matters to everyone...but also because his stature now means he has more power and pull regarding the issues he cares about.
He's not running. Time to pick your second choice.

50. you are incorrect more than once here |
|
First off, Hillary was never on the ticket with Al...First Lady is not an Official Position
Second, saying "I have no plans to run" is nowhere near definitive.
If you can find anywhere that he has made a definitive statement, you let me know.
