Congressional Dems have done the math...we don't count... |
|
Someone wrote recently that when the Republicans went ahead with impeachment against Clinton they had done the math. Their core supporters, who had been whipped into a frenzy, were demanding it. Though they were only a small percentage of the population, they were key to getting the Pubs nominated for the 2000 election. The Pubs in congress were convinced by Newt and DeLay that they had to cater to their core supporters, while the general populace would forget by the time of the election.
In fact, by then, Bush come along promising to end the divisiveness of Washington, DC, which his own party had worked so hard to create!
Meanwhile, our Dems in Congress have done the math and decided that they can get by without the hardcore Dems, namely us. That's why there is no impeachment and that is why they will not do anything to confront or confound Bush and the Republicans.

1. I don't agree that they are doing nothing there are plenty of investigations |
|
going on. Still, some truth in it. They are politicians, concerned first about continuing in office. MSM focuses very little on the investigations that are happening.

4. That is the point, what the Dems are doing |
|
doesn't hit the media and doesn't see the light of day.
Only our "mistakes" are seen -- STARK should not have rolled over.

2. They Know That We'll Vote For Them |
|
As long as they stay ever-so-slightly to the left of the Republicans. So, why on Earth should they do anything?
This is the true Clinton legacy.
