Can anyone explain to me WTF is going on with RW hate radio?

I got stuck listening to one of "them" (who shall not be named because "it" doesn't deserve the free ad) - anyways "it" supposedly has millions of faithful wingnut listeners. "it" spent hours today telling them all that Hillary doesn't take any shit off anyone, will fight for what she believes in and will drop kick anyone who gets in her way.

"it" said this like it's a bad thing. -- isn't that what "they" LOVE about GWB regarding "terraists" - that he doesn't take any shit off anyone, will fight for what he believes in, and will drop kick anyone who gets in his way?


I wish those wingnuts would make up their minds................or move out of the US - whichever come first............

1. I don't get it.

I see tons of rants here against RW Hate Radio. Why listen to it? I don't. It just seems ridiculous to get worked-up about some obscure propagandist.

I'd sooner gnaw off my right arm than listen to that drivel-- and frankly, LW hate/anger/getting-even/whatever radio isn't much better. Although I can agree with the political sentiments in the latter case, it's still shrill and hateful-- or at least divisive. The whole talk radio format seems to have become pretty ugly.

3. This one is not "obscure"

and I was stuck. I was in a public place, taking notes for a business meeting, and the RW radio host was being blasted into my ears without my ability to escape. I have, unfortunately, been the lucky unwilling listener to "it" in this partiular place of business before and the diatribe then was centered on Hillary hate, but with a different twist.

I just don't understand the new tactic of accusing her of having the same personal qualities as their hero GW. -- Maybe they figure GW is so unpopular then they can make Hillary that unpopular too?

8. OK, given a similar situation where there was a particularly annoying commercial,

can you still do your job? Did you document everything? Can you sue? Did someone have a gun to your head preventing you from leaving? These are questions I would ask to see whether this is hype or propaganda.

9. If you only knew

how hard it is for a disabled black female in her 50's to find as good an employer as mine. Condemnation for choosing to sit there and do my job instead of popping a wheelie head long into traffic at the mere sound of that shrill idiotic voice on the radio would be no part of this thread. :)


Edit to add, said wonderful employer doesn't pick this place. Even big shots have moments where they put up with less that a perfect world for the sake of keeping their employees knee deep in paychecks and bennies. :)

6. I listen to it sometimes

I make 6 or 7 hour drives a couple times a month, and most of the time the only things on are country stations, Christian radio, or RW radio.


I can always find Savage, Hannity, et al. but usually I can only take them for a few minutes.. then I turn on a Christian station and shout like a preacher at the top of my lungs. :D

In fact, this one is so idiotic that he makes the rest of the RW bloviaters look like the Brain trust. But let's fact it, the man knows how to weasle his way to millions of listeners and probably close to 1000 stations. ((though I suspect many of those listeners are just tuned in to see what idiotic snark will spew forth out of "it" today ))

14. I don't mind listening to the hate-spewers on the radio, for a couple of

reasons. One, it gives me a good cardio workout. Two, it increases my speaking skills, cause I talk back to them in my car, and practice responses that don't use swear words. And finally, I think it's always good to know what direction your enemy is heading. For example, the big wedge issue in this next election isn't going to be abortion or gays...I believe it's going to be illegal immigrants. That is all the RW loonies seem to want to talk about on their shows. Not Iraq, not health care. It's going to concentrate on illegals to get the base out. Oh, and Hillary hate. The Dems should start planning accordingly.
