Chris Matthews' fake outrage!

Last night on Hardball, Matthews endlessly chided Hillary Clinton for her statement in which she said she was a Yankees fan and wouldn't alter her fanship because of the campaign, a shot over Rudy's bow as he pandered to Boston Red Sox fans.

Matthews constructed his entire show around that "outrage" because it was the opening clip and was replayed throughout the show.

However, on the previous nights show, Matthews held up a Boston Red Sox jersey, a gift from the Red Sox organization. The shirt was emblazoned with Matthews name and all. Matthews said that while he appreciated the jersey, he would probably not wear the shirt because he would always be a Phillies fan.

Yes, the fact that Rudy decided to support the Red Sox in the post season is a non-issue. However, what is worse is Matthews hypocritical and fake outrage on the entire subject.

Give me a break, Chris! Please base your shows on more substantive issues that this.

1. Chris is still bitter that Bill Clinton passed him over for the WH spokesperson's job.

I think he's still harboring that grudge with the Clintons. While he's coming around on some issues, he's going to be a partisan fan of whatever Republican gets the nod.

However, IMO Chris does some of the coverage and he is usally
fair.

I just tell myself--Matthews has a hangup where the Clinton's
are concerned and weigh the information. More often than not
he is fair to Hilary.

They were in the press the day Rudy made his flip/flop - at least in some of the less RW press.
