is it too extreme?-my 113th ltte re FEMA's false news-please critique |
|
We have turned a new page in the United States of America, one that more fittingly belongs in a "how-to" manual for propaganda. On Thursday,October 25,2007,as wildfires raged Southern California,FEMA held a press conference at FEMA's Southwest D.C. offices. This conference was carried live for all the major news outlets. It featured Vice Adm. Harvey E. Johnson,The deputy administrator of FEMA.During the press conference,Johnson said he“was very happy with FEMA’s response” while praising “the good messaging” of federal and local government responders. If you were watching, you might have been curious as to why the questions seemed passive and non-threatening.The reason is....FEMA employees posed as reporters in the audience,so as to avoid any controversy and poor press. The administrator was allowed to elaborate, without challenge,on the Super response the Federal Government had given. Does the distortion of the news disturb you?Do you feel our first amendment rights being craftily wrenched from our Constitution?Do images of Pravda and Der Sturmer rear their ugly heads?Ridiculous, you say? When the Government is allowed to manipulate the media to this extreme, our access to truth has been denied.Write FEMA,the FCC, and your local representative to ask that they demand sanctions against FEMA for this Disinformation.

I don't think the FCC has jurisdiction over this situation.
