Chargers owner contribues $1 million to fire victims' and firefighters' funds

Alex Spanos is still a spoiled jerk in spite of this gesture. He has made gigabucks off of San Diego not only through the Chargers but through enormous real estate holdings and is still trying to get some city to give him a new stadium. But at least he did this... the Blackwater guys did nothing and said nothing all week, even though they want San Diego County to approve a mercenary training ground in Potrero.

I'm fine with despising Blackwater for lots of reasons though but, since I heard that "did nothing" is not true (although "said nothing" appears to be quite true), I feel the need to mention what I have heard in the interests of truth.
