8000 turn out in Phoenix!!
Super Bowl Kick off bash drew thousands to Westgate.

Event planners expected upwards of 8,000 fans at the afternoon party set to run until 10 p.m. near Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue. The party marked the 100-day countdown until the big game Feb. 3 at nearby University of Phoenix Stadium.

After seeing some of the posts about the anti-war protests today I checked the home town paper for any local happenings. Now this is front page news! 100 days to the "big game"! I wonder if anyone is paying attention.

2. I'm not sure which is worse: $75K for a Super Bowl ticket or Sugar Ray.

"Halmrast, a Cardinals season ticket holder, said he is hoping to snatch some Super Bowl tickets soon, which range in price from $2,600 to $75,000 on Web sites like StubHub.com.

Many event-goers said they showed up to watch mainstream rock band Sugar Ray perform on the main stage. "We were trying to find an act popular and fun," Sullivan said. "Something where we could appeal to the biggest audience."

Or our soldiers dying for the "freedom" of people with nothing better to do to count down 100 days to a football game...

It wouldn't be so bad if it actually were for somebody's freedom, but it its painfully obvious that this war has nothing to do with freedom.
