Powell’s surprise over Blair’s closeness to Bush
(AFP)

28 October 2007

LONDON - Former United States secretary of state Colin Powell expressed surprise at ex British premier Tony Blair’s strong support for President George W. Bush over the Iraq war, according to book extracts published in the Mail on Sunday.

Powell said that he and Britain’s former foreign secretary Jack Straw would “get (Blair) all pumped up” to talk to Bush about certain issues in the run-up to the 2003 conflict, but Blair would ”lose his steam” when he saw Bush.

The comments are quoted in “Blair Unbound”, a new book by Anthony Seldon, a respected political commentator and biographer of Blair, which is being serialised in the newspaper. snip

“In the end, Blair would always support the president,” he said. snip

“At this very late stage, the prime minister did not want to be seen to fall out with President Bush.”

1. That's ridiculous, coming from Powell.
Colon the traitor commenting on Blair, as though Colon has no blood on his hands.

2. A totally pathetic little piece of horseshit
I expected MORE originally from Tony Blair, because I had him down as an intelligent individual....but what a disappointment he turned out to be.

If he hadn't have spent so much time sucking W's ass and giving him reach around's, then Blair would have probably still have been Prime Minister....his antics with and whoring for W were the nucleus of ALL of his subsequent political problems.

There was a news item the other night, about British soldiers returning from Iraq with brain injuries, and really young soldiers as well....and the one's who didn't have brain injuries, had been blinded.

And THIS is solely the doing of Tony Fucking Blair....and like W....one day, on the Day of Judgement Blair WILL be MADE to answer for what HE and W CHOSE to do.

Personally I believe that two seats in Hell are awaiting Blair and W, they will burn for Eternity for their sins, for their causing so much suffering, mayhem, chaos and death.

5. I try not to
Do emotional posting....I try to remain as logical and calm as I can....but CERTAIN things REALLY piss me off and REALLY get me going.

Seeing so much suffering and mayhem, and WASTE of life that Blair and W have inflicted, not only on the Iraqi people, but also on British and American soldiers....it just totally makes me get a bit emotional, it's very upsetting, and that translates into my posts on the subject.

Those who have died, have died for NOTHING, the entire thing has been pointless....lives ruined and lives lost for pretty much jackshit.

Yes, Blair and W will be punished, The Lord WILL make them pay for their sins....I genuinely believe that.
