Obama e-mail.

My right wing relative sent me the Obama e-mail where he did not put his hand over his heart during the Star Spangled Banner and it starts out about this MUSLIM (their caps), how he wouldn't wear a flag pin and how dangerous it would be for him to be in the white house, yada yada. I finally decided just to write back that he wasn't a Muslim, that it was an urban legend and if she ever wanted to check the truth of e-mail forwards that she could go to snopes. She wrote back that he was raised by a radical muslim stepfather (her words) and he probably has harm to America in his agenda, etc. I probably am not going to pursue the conversation but I am just curious what the "official" position of Americans is supposed to be about Muslims. They are apparently the enemy, out to get us, etc., however, haven't we lost almost 4,000 US soldiers trying to "liberate" or "save" or "bring democracy" to a bunch of Muslims?
