How embarrassing, when the military has to step in and downplay war-rhetoric that Cheney & the warpigs are busily spewing all over the place..

The Pentagon usually TAKES orders, and shuts up.. It must really be HOT in DC, when they dare to step out from behind the curtain, and speak up..

Maybe they DID learn something from the Iraq debacle..

the retirees spoke out, and they were called "has-been hacks".. the enlisted spoke out, and they were called traitors..the senat/house spoke out and they were called soldier-haters, marchers filled the streets and they were called "a few hundred hippie mal-contents"..

I guess the Pentagon decided it HAD to act now ..

Take THAT, Cheney:)

2. i think the Pentagon's PISSED.. All their "toys" are broken,
they cannot get enough good recruits anymore, their world reputation is shot and the country's in NO mood for another dumb war and the cost to tidy up afterwards.

8. You know what's sad? I don't believe them. I don't believe anything
out of the White House, the Pentagon and 3/4 of the Congress. For all we know this is a ruse to take the focus off Iran.

10. You know what's weird? I actually am pulling for the Generals
in the Pentagon. If I were to travel back in time to myself in '68 I'd have slapped my now-self silly for even suggesting such a thing.

11. Not to be a spoilsport , but this may be irrelevent if Washington has told Israel
to go ahead and they'll be supported by our military if they are inclined to hit Iran independently.
