Democracy Now! has just shown Amy Goodman interview an authority from San Fran Baywatch. Very slick oil spill of the worst kind happened Wednesday after a taker's hull took a turn too close to the Golden Gate Bridge, scraped and spilled BUNKER OIL. Oh, and it took the company's crew 4 hours to report that spill.

It looks pretty toxic and clean-up detail is coming in through DN, but who else? I didn't see any talk about it here, or get it from MSM.

This "fuel" being takered was on its way from the US to S.Korea. Apparently, we still allow the production of bunker oil to fuel big ships. The San Fran authority talking to Amy Goodman now believes this kind of (bottom of the barrel, waste ridden) fuel should be banned.

How awful. I guess this spill doesn't even get press, or I'm missing something (???)

1. DU had the goods when it happened; so where were
you last Wednesday, MMM? :P If you do a search, on GD and in the environmental group and in LBN, you'll find some articles, pictures, etc. I've also seen it on the news, but it's not as popular as the latest car crash or murder victim.

2. Ah HAH! babylonsister reaches out!
Heh-heh.... my version of "searching" was to go back to Wednesday's latebreaking news. And, yeah, I was working all day Wednesday, unlike today...:dunce:

This is quite true, the popularity of latest murder victims and road rage would ordinarily top this (again, how awful!).

Hey, while I'm at it, the reason why I turn off the tv after Keith Olberman is because of all that "other" news. There is only so much "lock-up" and "cops" I can watch without going nuts.... :wtf:

:hi: Thanks!
