KLSD is now XXTRA SPORTS in San Diego
Already has sports on. Bye, bye traditional radio; hello XM and internet streaming.

1. Now I'm streaming Thom Hartmann because of the loss of KLSD. Note, though,
that the Santa Barbara Air America station, AM 1340, has a signal that is often stronger than KLSD's ever was. Particularly during the day, I can receive the Santa Barbara station here in North San Diego County, so when I'm in the car (old car, only AM/FM radio)I can still listen.

That, of course, doesn't make up for the loss of KLSD.

Does anyone know what's going on in terms of a replacement station here in San Diego?

2. Sports talk has to be the most annoying thing on the radio.
What a waste.

3. Totally agree
Sports talk radio is Dumbfuckistan at its most mentally challenged.
And you know that more the more you enjoy sports.

4. As someone who is a HUGE sports fan. . .
I HATE sports talk radio. Who in their right mind could think that any major city needs another outlet for that crap? By the way, most people (apologies to Dan Patrick, and Tony Kornheiser) who do sports talk radio are overly-macho, right wing tools.

What a waste indeed.
