State Could Easily Count Vote Ballots
Edited on Thu Nov-22-07 11:24 PM by kster

November 22, 2007

In the March 10 article on We The People's nationwide lawsuit guaranteeing an accurate count of every vote in every election, Daniel Barlow paraphrased Vermont Deputy Secretary of State Bill Dalton thus: Vermont could switch over to counting all ballots by hand, he added, but that would extend vote counting for two-three days past the election and the state would need to hire vote-counters instead of relying on volunteers.

When Canadians can count their entire country's paper ballots in four hours, Secretary of State Deb Markowitz owes her employers an apology for how incompetent her office views Vermonters, supposedly too dumb to accurately hand count a mere few thousand ballots, maximum, per precinct, in less than 48, nay, make that 72, hours.

When new regulations designed to thwart any errors in a count of each paper ballot can be easily instituted, every Vermonter should be quaking in his and her boots that the Secretary of State's office would step out on such a propagandistic limb to bash the most transparent remedy to the widely-proven manipulable electronic process. Ask yourself why your servants in government campaign to protect their riggable mechanical devices to the degree they insult their masters with the exaggeration of the con man.
