Ask MSNBC to create a show hosted by Janeane Garofalo and Sam Seder |
|
There is a rumor that MSNBC will cancel Tucker Carlson's show.
I would rather watch a TV show co-hosted by Janeane Garofalo and Sam Seder, who used to co-host "The Majority Report" radio show.
Please write MSNBC about what TV hosts you'd like to watch at: letters@msnbc.com

1. I don't think they're ready for tee vee, honestly. I doubt they'd do it. |
|
MSNBC is trying to be CHEAP as they can. They'll dip into their stable of Talking Heads on Contract (e.g. Pat Buchanan, Dana Milbank or some of the other WAPO types they trot out) before they hire new.
If they even bother to gear up a new show. Might be easier just to put Tweety on for a longer stretch, or interject a CNN-ish news block into that open slot.
They are no longer in those pricy studios in Secaucus. They're back at the Rock with the rest of NBC, in small digs now.

3. MSNBC had discussions with Rosie O'Donnell about hosting a show. |
|
MSNBC couldn't afford her, but Janeane Garofalo and Sam Seder would probably be willing to do it for less than Rosie O'Donnell.

5. I don't think they could have afforded her, either. They're still trying to right the fiscal ship |
|
over there. They're doing Ok, but for awhile the discussion was "Which arm do we chop off? MS or C?"
They're lucky that this is the political season--they have an opportunity to grow their audience, but I think they'll move carefully.

2. Sam And Janeane could barely do their radio show together... |
|
I doubt they could hide their combativeness to one another on TV. They'd be labeled hysterical liberals within a week. If anyone from Air america should get their own TV show it should be Rachel Maddow.

4. Sam Seder and Janeane Garofalo would be called names by rightwingers, |
|
...and Rachel Maddow wouldn't?

6. I think one of us DUers should host it instead |
|
Each of us drops his or her name in a hat, Skinner pulls a name out of the hat, and that's MSNBC's new host. Pure genius.
