Isn't that what it's about? Workers rights, environmental standards are a smoke screen. As soon as jobs are lost, it becomes Fair Trade. Consider the labor and environmental laws in Canada and Australia. Or lets go on to the trade balance. The United States has always had a trade surplus with Australia. It has widened after the 2003 freed trade deal. But it was opposed because it costs jobs. Kucinich said it was because we couldn't get access to Australia's government subsidized pharmaceuticals!
C'mon. Fair Trade is a scam. If it costs jobs, people will oppose it come what may.
