Well, it's been a week since Scotty's bombshell announcement
Glad to see the MSM all over it...wait, I hear crickets.

Imagine the same type of story, say, nine years ago. It would be 24/7, with commentators of all stripes discussing impeachment and treason. Boy, times have changed. Damn librul media!

It's mourning in Amurka. Now back to bread and circuses for the masses.

1. Did he retract his statement? I'm unclear about this.
Did Scotty re-remember?

2. According to Time Magazine (which I was reading at lunch)...
... he clarified that he was not implying that Bush lied to him.

5. It was pretty predictable.
This is exactly why the MSM stayed away from really trumpeting the story until all the ass-covering was finished.

"We conferred with McClellan and decided that he was better off working on his book than grappling with the media (I did not immediately realize that there was a firestorm on the Web and cable) and when our intrepid publicity director, Whitney Peeling, began forwarding reporters to me, I explained that the chapter reports that McClellan believes that Bush, at least initially, did not know he was telling his press secretary to relay a series of howlers about who said what to whom. The full story must await publication. "

9. Are you kidding me?
Even if His Dufusness didn't know about it, that still leaves Rove, Cheney, Libby (remember him, the guy who got commuted while lying under oath?) and Card who all purposefully and vengefully committed a treasonous act in wartime. If there were justice and a media still left they would be facing a firing squad. Didn't the Grande Dufus say he would fire anyone connected with the outing of Plame? Yes, yes, he did.

Like OJ, he's out looking for the real perps I'm sure.
