You Couldn't Make This Up -- Kerik Vouches for Rudy on Shag Fund...LINK (ROFL)

Bernie Kerik, Rudy's best bud and all around paragon of virtue (if you ignore the multiple count Federal indictment against him, and his own well-known sexual indiscretions) has now gathered up all his credibility for truth and honesty and stepped forward into the bright light of the public stage to exonerate Rudy of any kind of wrongdoing in the 'bootygate scandal.'

So who will be next to step forward and 'exonerate' Rudy of wrongdoing -- an Organized Crime Leader? A Corrupt City Official who got paid under the table? Or maybe a former mistress who will state unequivocally that she never received such 'perks' from Rudy while she carried on her affair with him?

Honestly you could not make up this up, or fail to appreciate the irony of Kerik vouching for Rudy.

Bernie Kerik vouches for Rudy on the Shag Fund (from the Times) ...

"Bernard B. Kerik, who was Mr. Giuliani’s police commissioner when some of the charges were billed, said in an interview yesterday that the security detail’s travel expenses would normally come out of the Police Department’s budget."

“There would be no need for anyone to conceal his detail’s travel expenses,” said Mr. Kerik, who was indicted earlier this month on unrelated federal tax fraud and corruption charges. “And I think It’s ridiculous for anyone to suggest that the mayor or his staff attempted to do so.”

Seems like the two of them were trying to see who could fuck around more with both the ladies and with the gummint bankroll.

2. The thought that someone could imagine Kerik's endorsement would help Rudy is laughable...

WHat is so ironic here is that likelihood that Kerik will be the silver bullet that kills Rudy's Campaign in the end, and yet he steps forward to try and save Rudy?

You cannot separate Rudy and Bernie.

Damage Control rudimentaries require an immediate response to allegations like this.

Hit it quick, Hit it hard, Show the evidence proving it is not true, and welcome further investigation because the candidate has done nothing wrong...

So far the Giuliani response has been lacking....

THe only conclusion I can draw is that there is much more heading down the tracks which they expect to break against them.
