Bush not only lied to send us to war in Iraq, he tried to do it again with Iran...WHERE IS CONGRESS? |

This menace...this mass murdering - lying - waste of skin - unelected President has been trying to lie this nation into another war...
He submitted requests in the last budget for BUNKER BUSTER NUCLEAR WEAPONS for this attack.
He STILL claims all 'options' our on the table despite the NIE report that Iran has no nuclear program (as Pakistan spins out of control, harbors Al Queda & DOES possess nuclear weapons)....
Where the hell is the outrage? Where is the DEMAND from all members of Congress for both a Bush & Cheney RESIGNATION? Where are the American people? I am livid. I am so angry I could spit nails! The Congress is just as culpable as far as I am concerned, voting for the INSANE bill to declare the Iranian Guard a terrorist organization instead of a military. This country has some nerve. Many people believe it is our RIGHT to kill & maim, if we even FEEL their is a potential threat to us. Pre-emptive war based on a feeling. It is so gross.
Sorry for the incoherence of this post...I am PISSED!

1. Say what you will about the inaction of congress, most of it is true |
|
But they did stop Iran from happening, quietly and without fanfare
By the release of certain documents at key points (e.g. right after Bush's WWIII speech) they made it impossible for any Republican Congresscritter to support a war with Iran. Right now, the WH and GOP contenders for said position are the only party interested in war with Iran. Oh, and Lieberman.

3. The "green light" was a pander, but not a green light |

I'm not sure I agree with their strategy. It seems to be working, but the idea was to throw "red meat" to the hawks by declaring the IRG as a terrorist organization, then ensure certain information is released to lessen the prez's power.
I think its backfiring, and in hindsight it shows that the dems are a little rusty at their politics. Someone needs to remind them that they are in charge. I don't think they got that memo.
