"Huckabee!!! Don't those rubes understand that their role is to vote for the candidate that WE choose for them"

It should actually be fun to listen to Rush Limbaugh today.

1. The problem is that they *didn't* choose a candidate for the yokels.
The party apparatus never united behind one person. I predict that the Republican race is about to get *very* ugly.

4. I think they tried to foist Mitt Romney on them but the fundies weren't buying.
Didn't Pat Robertson or Fallwell or one of those televangelistpolitico types endorse Mittens?

The problem is the fundamentalists seem to be onto their game. They swallowed George W. Bush and all they got was indigestion. Maybe it was those nasty e-mails Abramoff and his pals sent to each other calling them idiots who'd do whatever they were told.

At any rate, this is fun to watch but don't underestimate Huckabee. He's damn good even though I disagree with just about everything he stands for.

5. Not in any unified fashion.

The upper echelon support of Romney seems lukewarm at best. He was never their first choice.

The problem is the fundamentalists seem to be onto their game.

No shit. Good thing Karl Rove's campaign strategy relied on teaching religious nuts how to organize and campaign. Now nobody's giving them direction and they're creating their own. Oops. I don't think Rove, etc. ever envisioned a situation where these folks weren't taking orders from the top.

9. Kind of like the Taliban & Al Queda, isn't it
Teach religious fanatics to organize and fight against the forces of EVIL (in this case the Democrats).

They're too godstricken to ever figure out that they're being used--and turn that training against their former benefactors

Whoops

6. And in luxury board rooms and CEOs' office around the world--
screams as scalding coffee spills onto designer suits and expensive pants carefully pressed by slave labor. "Edwards!!! Second!!! the ignore button is not working. Don't the American people know that he will not play patty cake with OUR chosen elite rulers? Send out another memo about ignore, flood the blogs with the one about the expensive haircut that costs $1,000 less than my wife's dog's pedicure."
