Does anyone here believe Bloomburg will enter the fray come February

I think he is right now marshaling his forces and after watching Huckabee surge as he has will take it upon himself to put a stop to him by declaring himself an Independent candidate.. I hit the enter button instead of the spellcheck. What sort of compitition would Bloomburg provide. America is starving for non-partisan people in charge. Bloomburg suggest he is just that person..

Bloomberg has already indicated he has no plans to run, and he won't want to run and lose. Doubt it's gonna happen.

He just held a very high profile meeting umong "elder statesmen" of both Political Parties and the suggestion that the reason for such a meeting was to test the waters for his belief. He has stated he really wasn't either Party although he has registered for both.

i think he would enter if Hillary has the nomination locked up. But he stays out if Obama wins.
He would support a democratic candidate that can draw independents and Republicans.

11. Who Cares?

People are soooooooooo impressed that he has a billion dollars to throw around. So what. Anyone have any clue where he stands on any major issue? What real experience he has? His personal life? All this become fodder the moment he jumps into the mess.

Then what appeal does Bloomberg have? Besides with the weenie-eaters inside the beltway and his buddies in the grey canyons of Lower Manhattan...where's his support? I sure as hell don't see some knuckledragger in Oklahoma voting for the Jew over the black or the female/Clinton...nor do I see his appeal anywhere outside of the "greater Tri-State" area.

Personally, I've grown to like Mike...he's done a far better job in New York than Rudy ever could have, but I don't see any thing that says Presidential about the guy. I think this is more an ego stroke. Here's a man who has done everything he's set his mind to...and with it has evolved quite an ego...and the ultimate ego trip is to think you're so successful or powerful or popular that you could be president. Let Mike sleep with that fantasy...in reality he'd be lucky to get 5% of the vote in a General Election.

Plus, the third party field will get crowded soon...especially when Ron Paul bolts.

And I remember what happened during the 2004 Republican convention. Google it. Bloomberg is responsible for hundreds of false arrests and injuries to protestors that were held in filthy holding pens for over 24 hours without water or access to legal help (I was volunteering for the NYCLU that day). He also authorized covert surveillance of protest groups for almost a year prior to the convention. He has also referred to protest as a "privilege" and has trampled all over the First Amendment. Those who are all agog over a possible Bloomberg run should think VERY carefully about that.

It's too late for him to join the race as anything, though I think he would love to be considered for the #2 spot on either ticket.
