I just want to reiterate that I'm an Obama fan and supporter, but over the past couple of days, Hillary has accomplished amazing things and overcome incredible odds to reassert herself and reestablish her candidacy as a political force to be reckoned with.
I think that the most impressive thing Clinton has done has been to let her guard down and show her inner self. She has had a history of being emotionally reserved and guarded, or at least that has been my perception. She announced earlier this week that she was taking charge of her campaign and basically would be less dependent on her handlers. I think that this is her best political decision yet in this campaign. I first realized how effective this was during the "That hurt my feelings..." moment during the debate which was a masterful moment that changed my perceptions about her. Coupled with her already infamous tearing up, which I do think was genuine, she has successfully revealed a more vulnerable and human side to the electorate and I think it has resonated.
Her victory speech was the clincher for me. She seemed much less stiff and guarded, and more human. She looked good and handled herself gracefully, much more comfortable. I have to say I like this new Hillary. As long as she maintains this more honest and refreshing persona I can easily support her in the GE. I'm still supporting Obama, but she is definitely looking more attractive as a candidate now that she is taking charge of her campaign.

I just CANNOT, CANNOT imagine another Clinton Era, 'More of the same', Status quo...I am so depressed right now, to even CONSIDER this country continuing these policies, under the cloak of a 'Democrat'. Always hopeful though, I will collect myself and regain the 'hope' I lost tonite. How is everyone else feeling?
....addressed of course to those who are Obama supporters..

She was a liberal in college. I think if she wins the White House, we might see the real Hillary again.

And I knew that long, long ago. :)
However, if I remember correctly, she wrote articles that were very liberal when she was pretty young. Edwards is my candidate, so I haven't read up on Hillary in years.

I voted in that election and she's only three years younger than I am.
And you couldn't vote until you were 21 then.

I recall that she is 3 years older than I am, so she must have been 17 in '64.
Found out that my 90-year-old aunt is voting for her. And my WWII gunner uncle too. 'Course they're both from Park Ridge, IL, Hillary's home town.

I know that doesn't fit into everyones neat and tidy little "Hillary as a demon" box, but it's true.
Hillary is a hard-core liberal, has been for a very, very, long time.

Look, she was up by 20 plus not 6 weeks ago. She wins by 2-3 and it's an upset? One of the biggest in American history according to Russert? I'm not buying it. There's a long way to go with this. She'll be back to doing her best Borg Queen impersonation in 48 hours.

often learns to be emotionally reserved and guarded. It becomes her state of being.
Even at the point where they may have a marriage of convenience, it's still got to be embarrassing every time Bill's penis makes the news.

26. The DIFFERENT Hillary |
|
"You want change?" she says. "I'M the change candidate! I don't demand change. I don't hope for change. I DO change!" (paraphrased)
Truer words never spoken. She'll change on a dime. Her crocodile tears were accompanied by "I see where the country is headed, and we have to reverse it." Well, why didn't she try to reverse it with her Senate votes? She supported the IWR, Patriot Act, bankruptcy bill, criminalizing flag burning, NAFTA, etc. etc.
What makes you think THIS is the honest Hillary? It's just a different version, who realizes she'd better pander to the Dem voters like she's been pandering to the Repukes -- seeing as how her nomination isn't as inevitable as she thought.
