9. I think you heard wrong.
The MSNBC correspondent on location said that he WAS using a teleprompter. I'll watch for the transcript tomorrow.

15. Olbermann said teleprompter
from the transcript:

"The polls were so wrong, so off, with one or two exceptions, that two cable news networks actually projected this outcome only after Senator Obama conceded. So the—in one case, the candidates were ahead of the projections. Senator Obama with a speech that was, as given previously, as he won the Iowa caucuses, done with the aid of tele-prompters. Nothing wrong with that. Certainly those of us in this business who use a tele-prompter, we can‘t be critical of that."

6. Obama has no peer as an orator
Among the candidates, he is in a class by himself as a speaker. I have
met the guy and sat right in front of him as he delivered a speech, and
he has star quality, no two ways about it. He is still not my #1 choice,
but he is a magnetic presence, and whether or not he says what people want
to hear, when he says it, it is impossible to remain unmoved by the way
he says it.

8. He is a good speaker.
However, I thought that the speech was pretty crappy. Dishwater springs to mind.

14. Smoking hot speeches will not help us.
Only actions will do that. Is Obama sincere about change? Is Hillary? Considering who is financing and advising these candidates, I'm very skeptical.
