9. Soooooo, what do you think about this?

I am genuinely amazed (I know, I know, NOTHING should amaze me by now) that the media didn't run with the O'Reilly-homeless vet story.

His comments in this regard are at least as ignorant and inflammatory as the Harlem diner incident, and the media at all levels covered that.

I'm convinced the reason it hasn't been covered is because, in doing so, John Edwards' name would have to come into play. Corporate Media obviously does NOT want to give his populist message much airtime whatsoever.

The lack of coverage of an important ISSUE (homeless veterans), the lack of coverage of a dipshit who normally gets airtime with his stupidity (O'Leilly), and the continued lack of coverage of the populist candidate who inspired O'Leilly's latest rant is, TO ME, an important story in and of itself. It brings it all to light: an issue that every American should be aware of and interested in, how a modern "media figure" can blatantly lie and get away with it, and when someone has a message that threatens corporate America (I shall no longer capitalize the "c"...they don't deserve it) they muzzle it.

I am tempted to target the news outlets with the slant of a concerned consumer, which sadly is what we, the citizens, have become, even in issues of politics.

I have experience with press releases as a publicist and, through my flu-induced haze was trying to think how to come up with essentially a "consumer alert" press release. Something different to perhaps attract attention...ya know?
