Astrological Predictions for tonights debate (for FUN!)
Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 09:00 PM by debbierlus
Today, we have a waxing moon (one day from being full in Cancer (a big wave to my fellow Cancerian moon children out there, feel it roiling in your blood, yet?). The Sun remains in Aquarius (happy birthday all you waterbearers out there, btw.)

Let's take a very SIMPLE look at the sun signs of the astrological candidates & see how this all bodes for them, shall we?

Okay.

Hillary: Scorpio (Don't ever underestimate a scorpio, ever...good or bad). Hillary is a woman of depth & complexity that belies her more aloof deameanor. The moon's placement will favor her, but first, her sun. Her sun is square the current sun position in Aquarius.. She will be tested in presenting herself as new or visionary. She is up against the forces of past versus present, no better illustrated by these two conflicting signs. Interesting the debate should occur on these stars. However, the Moon favors her & she will present a much softer, warmer side with the Cancer moon trining her sun. Here, she will find more success in relating to the people on a emotional level. Her opponents would be wise to not attack too much this eve, as she has the best placement of all three for tonight to generate positive emotions on a visceral level.

Edwards:

Gemini, the changeling, The Twins. If any sign could ever get away with having two seemingly opposite positions and creating an air of sincerity for both positions, it is Gemini. (And, Geminis, see both sides of EVERYTHING). John appears to have chosen a more noble course then his past voting record. With many sun signs, this would be a calculated move. Geminis, however, they are gifted with the ability to really transform to their more positive twin self, as they spend so much time on each side. If & when they eventually choose to follow a singular path, it will be with the deep knowledge of the other side. Tonight, his sun is trine Aquarius and he will have great effect in communicating his ideas. Gemini & Aquarius are AIR signs, they rule over communication and the changing of ideas. He may come across almost visionary tonight. The moon, it is in Cancer. The sign ahead of Gemini, Cancer serves in a helpful and tutorial aspect (as all signs do to the sign that precedes them)...Cancer may favor him this eve, as it is waxing poetic & it will be a gentle guide (woe, if it would be waning). I think John is the one to watch to steal the show...

Obama: Leo (same sign as Bill Clinton, btw. And, if you are surprised at Bill's angry reaction as of late to Obama, remember the symbol of Leo, the lion. PRESIDENT Clinton simply does not have any tolerance for this new cat to be in what he perceives to be as HIS territory. As in nature, there is only room for ONE king. And, all Leos are royalty by birthright. It is always interesting when two are competing for the same territory. (I love Leos, you have to love them despite themselves. Big, warm hearts. Sunny personality. You just have to get past their egos). Obama will be influenced by two strong influences. Aquarius is in opposition to his Leo sun. Fortunately, air & fire are compatible elements, so he will not have any difficulty in forcefully communicating his ideas. However, the opposition does indicate the risk that he will be TOO forceful in communicating his points. The moon in Cancer is in the sign behind, Leo. It is likely that Obama will be able to maintain a balance between effective communication of his ideas & evoking visceral positive reactions in his audience, IF he is able to keep warmth & affability placed above competition & negative attacks. These planetary placements against Hillary do NOT indicate a good time for intense attacks. If he falter in the debate, it will be in this area.

So, there you have it. :)

8. Hillary is highly intelligent

Watching her in Senate committees, I have always been floored by her command of the facts & her laser like ability to zero in on the most crucial issue.

Plus, Scorpios scare the living beejeebus out of me....(just kidding)!

3. I'm fascinated by the Leo thing.
Bill and Barack also both have Daddy issues. Both academically excellent and driven. And they both need public affirmation rather than more private, academic accolades.

As to Hillary being a Scorpio...my, my, my, my. The Cancer is what makes her prefer privacy. The Scorpio is what won't allow it. Lordy.

7. We are all Leo subjects....

At least, according to them.

Like I said in my first post, Leos are great. My brother-in-law is a Leo, & a warmer, grander, generous guy you will not find (my sister would have me point out, on his GOOD days).

This thing between Barack & Bill is fascinating.

10. I am Scorpio with Cancer moon and it can be quite a challenge at times. As to Leo men!
The love of my life was a Leo (1 of 3 Leo men in my life) and he was so Leo that I thought the sign should be named Tony. Of course the world revolved around him, and he was a true benevolent despot. ;)

11. Well, Hello There Water Sister - Cancer with Scorpio Rising!

Ah...your Tony sounds good! I have a lot of fire in other aspects of my chart, so I have always loved the fire sign men. My soul mate is a Sagittarius, the house where my sun resides.

Thanks for posting your note, I love to come across other Cancer/Scorpio combos!

15. Hello right back Water Sister!
Tony has moved on to another plane almost 8 years now and yet he is still very much with me.

There was another man in my life, it feels eons ago, that I had an incredible relationship with and he was Sag. It was one of the most lighthearted yet passionate relationships. Unfortunately, I am a Scorpio for when it came to a crisis situation and he couldn't be there for me, every feeling I had for him disappeared (one of my banes but so self=protective). I contacted him via the Internet years later and he told me how he lived with with guilt for all of those years and I forgave him. He seemed so relieved. He was married with a young child and I exited immediately from his life.

I have mostly air in my chart with lots of Libra (rising, venus, saturn and neptune). They all fall in my 12th house.I have water in my sun and moon, 2 fire Sag/Mercury and Leo/Pluto. One Earth Sign..Virgo/Mars (which expresses itself in my work). On retrospect, probably the combination of Scorpio Sun and Libra Rising makes me detach easily when the person I am involved with doesn't rise up to my expectations.

17. I am glad you keep the connection.....
With Tony...

As for the Sag...they are rather hopeless until they are totally ready to commit. They tend to be on their own trip of exploration, & can be a little (LOT) selfish in anything that hangs them up. I attract the Sag men like flies. I used a on-line dating service where I met my guy seven years ago. 8 out of ten - Sags.

It is really good for a woman to have the ability to detach. With my moon in Taurus & Cancer in Sun....it is really hard for me to let go even when I should....however, Scorpio Rising & Mercury have allowed me to totally & completely move on when I finally do.

:)

13. And, AGAIN, my astrological prowess proves correct

Johnny shined tonight!

Barack took the low road & paid for it.

Clinton, however, did not produce the warm & fuzzies....The negatives swallowed them both.
